This little motel was bought by new owners 6 years ago and they have been completing renovations. Location is right at the base of the mountain when you come into Cheticamp. There is a beautiful brook and a fire pit.

Owners are beyond helpful and friendly. They can’t do enough for you. Rooms are clean and the ones by the brook have a beautiful view. Fridge and coffee maker in each room. We had a really nice time. Ate at L’Abri and hiked to the Gypsum mine. Would go back in a heartbeat.

Friendly, Exceptional customer service. They made reservations for us at a local restaurant, recommended best place for breakfast and offered to show us a great fishing hole, and explained the walking trail. The grounds were very well kept. Scenery was stunning!

The Cornerstone Motel is in a pleasant location convenient for visiting Cape Breton Highlands National Park. The view from the 2 doubles river view room was excellent. It also featured a fridge, microwave, standard definition TV with plenty of channels and free WiFi.

The Cornerstone is perfectly situated to explore the Cabot Trail. Cathy & Greg will go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible. They are very well versed on the local area and will recommend all the local “hot spots”. Be sure to check out the site fire pit and river side trail that are on the Cornerstone property, which is a beautiful location on the Cheticamp River. Highly recommended!

Great staff. Perfect nights stay. Extremely clean and spacious. Grounds are immaculate!
