Yes, we have gone to great measures to make sure our rooms are not only cleaned to our usual high standards, but we also sanitize all of our rooms with hospital grade sanitizers as the last thing we do in every room. We are located approx 5 min by car from the center of town where you will find restaurants, shops and things to see.

It would take about 45 min to walk into town along a highway, (the Cabot Trail) so we recommend to stay safe by taking your vehicle into town instead, as there is plenty of parking available and a short walk to our sites that you may like to see.

No, there is no laundry facilities for our guests on the property, however there are laundry facilities located in town. Ask us at the front desk and we will be glad to show you where to find them!

No, not at this time. We are in the process of building a restaurant, but it won’t be ready this year. However there are several places in town about 5 min away.

We have a NSLC in town and you can pickup your choice of alcohol spirits about 7 min away from the motel.

We are literally about 2 minutes (by foot) from the west park entrance.

We have an 8 acre property along the Cheticamp River and we have cut trail into the woods and along the river which guests are welcome to use until dusk for free. You can also walk to the Cape Bretons Highlands National Park and walk the Acadian Trail, Salmon Pool Trail and the Boudreau Trail without the need of a car to get there!

Yes, anyone using the Cape Breton Highlands National Park for the purpose of pleasure and viewing the outstanding vista’s, it is required. It can be purchased just as you go into the park just 1 minute away from the Cornerstone Motel.

The Cornerstone Motel is located approx 15 minutes away from the Skyline Trail. We are the closest motel to the Skyline Trail.

We are located directly on the Cabot Trail, right at the west entrance to the Cape Breton Highlands National Park.

We open the registration desk to our guests daily from 3:00pm until 10:00pm. If you require early check-in there is a $20/hr charge and must be arranged 24hrs in advance with the front desk. Call us at 1.844.224.3232 to make any arrangements.

Check-out is 10:00am. If you require a late check-out the fee is $20/hr and cannot be extended past 11:00am.

Yes, there are 2 places in Cheticamp that do great whale tours and we highly recommend that you reserve a spot days in advance as they get booked up very quickly.

There is an amazing golf course just 5 min away from the Cornerstone Motel called Le Portage Golf Course. Located at the foothills of the mountains the course has amazing views. As well the Cabot Links is just under an hour away. So you are not disappointed you should definitely book a tee time in advance!

No we don’t have roll out beds as we feel your sleep is the most important reason you are staying with us. As well, keeping the roll away beds sanitized is almost impossible in a motel environment and we would not risk our guests comfort with less than adequate sleep.

Unfortunately, we do not have any playpens, children’s beds or cribs to put in rooms.

No, although we understand the attachment of pets and animals to a lot of people, we do not permit any personal animals as we have gone to great efforts over the years to keeping our rooms “allergy friendly”. As well, animals in cars are not permitted as they can disturb other guests at night.
