With the seaside landscapes and dense forest cover, Cape Breton offers a tremendous variety of birds in the area and particularly in the May and June timeframe when they are mating and singing loudly for a mate which makes them much easier to find.

Over the past years, we have asked our bird watching guests to list the sightings they make and we have kept an extensive list of these birds. To view the complete list of species that we have identified thus far (click link below) and all guests that stay at the Cornerstone Motel can add or update the list when they stay here and get their name added as the contributor!

Be sure to book early to get your name added to the list as one of our contributors!
